Your Jellyfin library,
slow and steady.

Honu is a native iOS app for streaming and downloading music from your own self‑hosted Jellyfin server — minimal, fast, and built around the music you already own.

Honu is Hawaiian for sea turtle — one of the few animals in the wild that hunts jellyfish. Honu and Jellyfin, it turns out, get along just fine.

Everything you need to listen

Honu stays free the way Jellyfin itself is free — this is the whole app, not a trial of it.

Stream everything

Play any track, album or playlist straight from your own Jellyfin server, wherever you are.

Take it offline

Save songs, albums or whole playlists to your device and keep listening without a connection.

A library that behaves

Browse by Artists, Albums, Songs or Playlists — one tab, no clutter, in an order that actually makes sense.

Hunt

A fast, focused search that gets you to the right track before you've finished typing.

Lyrics along the way

Read along with lyrics on tracks that have them, right from the Now Playing screen.

All your servers, together

Add more than one Jellyfin server and see everything in one place — no switching required.

Crossfade & gapless

Tracks blend smoothly into each other, and gapless albums play straight through without a pause between songs.
